While we were gone Marvin and Calvin had a few adventures
of their own. They took our volunteer
group up to the tallest Mountain around.
Calvin enjoyed the snow, unfortunately the weather wasn’t clear enough
for good pictures.
While they were there they met a group of climbers from
Norway. The had attempted to summit but
the weather didn’t cooperate, and wasn’t planning on improving, so they decided
to abandon plans to climb and sight see.
Marvin invited them to our climbing club the following day and they
showed up. When he found out they didn’t
have a place to stay that night invited them to stay at our place.
It was fun getting a message from Marvin saying that we
had 4 Norweigians sleeping in our living room.
They cooked the boys breakfast then went on to explore other parts of
our mountains.
One big highlight for Calvin was going to a local dance
concert. He even saw his dance teacher
from school. I wish I could have been
there, because I love, love, love the national dance. From both Calvin’s and Marvin’s report it was
a great concert. I’m glad they were able
to go.
