How to Fix a Washing Machine in Central Asia

1. First call and have a repair man sent to your apartment, he doesn't even have to know about fixing washing machines.

2. Next have him look at your machine and have him order a part he "thinks" needs to be replaced.

3. Order the part and have it delivered by way of courier pigeon which takes a month to get to your city.

4. When they call and tell you they will fix it Monday stay at home Monday waiting and then wait again on Tuesday.

5. Tuesday the real washing machine repair man will arrive with the part.

6. Have the real washing machine repair man look at the washing machine, plug it in, and the washing machine will begin to spark.

7. The real repair man will tell you the part you ordered doesn't need to be replaced, you instead need a new motor.

8. Again wait a month for the part to be delivered via courier pigeon, only this time the part is larger and it may need to be delivered in pieces by the courier pigeons, in the meantime continue to wash your laundry by hand in the bathtub.

Settling In?

We have spend hours moving and taking apart furniture. Our apartment came with an abundance of wardrobes and we are proud to say not a single wardrobe is in it's original spot. We uncovered dust bunnies the size of lions when we moved them, therefore our work was doubled with cleanup. We are thankful we found all the dust now before we settled in.
